Plain White Wedding Cakes can be fun!!!

I found this great tip from Darcy Miller, Editor of Martha Stewart Weddings and blogger at

DARCY'S IDEA OF THE DAY:“The plainest white cake can be cut open to reveal extraordinary flavors. Be bold and experimental, and consider a delicious combination of cakes, fillings, and frostings.”

This is so true because image how remarkable it would be to have a beautiful white wedding cake and then have a vibrant red angel food cake inside or a pretty lemon, yellow cake inside. The possiblities are infinite.

Check them out.

Let me know what you think.

I'm always a fan of the plain white wedding cake. I think if you opt for a plain white cake, adding a pop of color here and there with flowers or other fixtures can really add depth to the cake.

Great post.
